What Do We Believe?

What We Believe

The purpose of Central Christian Church centers in the person of Jesus Christ. We have been called together in Christ to unite in commitment to him and his teaching and to express His life and love in the world.

We emphasize the unity of all Christians under the Lordship of Christ as expressed in the New Testament basis of personal faith in Jesus Christ.

We have no written creed, but rather place our beliefs on the Bible as our authority for knowing God, and living as He would have us to live in the world and in the shared fellowship of His Church.

We are an autonomous congregation exercising our ministry under the authority of Christ and the New Testament.  For this reason we belong to no denomination -- we are Christians only.

In obedience to Christ's commands and the example of the Apostles, we practice believer's immersion (Acts 2:38) and weekly celebrate the Lord's death, burial and resurrection in the Lord's supper (Luke. 22:19; Acts 2:42; 20:7).

We seek to serve under the shepherding and direction of the Eldership established by the Apostles for the guidance of each individual congregation (1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9; 1 Peter 5:2).

We plead for the unity of all Christians in Jesus Christ (John. 17:20-21).

We encourage one another as a community of faith to grow in servant hood to our Lord Jesus with our time, talents, and tithing (Malachi 3:6-13).
