Why Not to Go to Central!

Top 10 Reasons NOT to vist Central Christian Church…

1. “I don’t like having to dress up.”

No problem. Don’t. In fact, I will make a deal with you. I won’t so you won't feel like you have to.

2. “I don’t like Church music!”

If, by Church music you mean songs that were written before the Mayflower landed, then you need to come just to hear. You might be surprised.

3. “I like to sleep a bit later on Sunday morning!”

OK, fine, our Service starts at 1030a. And if you can see your way to be here by 10a, we have bagels, donuts, coffee, and juice. So there, I just saved you the time needed to make breakfast. You can sleep a bit later.

4. “But will it be worth my time?”

Let’s see; upbeat music from an excellent worship band, sermons from the Word of God that are relevant to your life today, and a chance to meet new and friendly people in your own neighborhood. Yeah, you’re right. Big Risk!

5.“My kids won’t like it”

You’re right. They’ll probably LOVE it!!! We have programs and activities for all ages.

6. “I have issues. You don’t know how I am. I need to clean up my life a bit first.”

You’re right. I don’t know how you are. But I know how I am. And, I know how God is. And, I know that He loves you even though you have some things to get “cleaned up.” In fact, He even has a plan for that. And we just might be part of that plan.

7.“I’m not sure if I believe in God”

OK, so who are you talking to about that? Because I love Sunday afternoon football, but I have never really found most of my deep theological questions answered by Terry Bradshaw, Al Michaels, or even John Madden!! We would love to help you with your questions. We don’t claim to have all the answers, but we know the One who does.

8. “I have a faith other than Christianity”

You’re still welcome. Come check out what Jesus taught. If your only exposure to Christianity is what Hollywood portrays, you might be surprised at what He is really about.

9. “There are lots of hypocrites at Church.”

If, by hypocrite, you mean someone who claims Jesus but still sins, then you are absolutely right. Christians claim to be followers of Jesus. We do not claim to be Jesus. We need Jesus because we are sinners.

10. “Having difficulty with more reasons not to come?”
